About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to join a federal government department’s Architecture and Cloud team. This position is integral to delivering secure, scalable, and innovative cloud native applications and services in a high-profile environment.
Based onsite in Canberra at key government offices, the role involves close collaboration with ICT and business stakeholders. You will design and implement cloud native solutions, re-architect legacy environments, and integrate platforms such as CMDB and billing/reporting systems. Key Responsibilities
Work closely with ICT and business teams to design, develop, and implement cloud native business solutions.
Architect and integrate cloud native applications that support secure and efficient operations.
Lead technical delivery teams to accelerate solution development.
Re-architect customer environments to improve architecture alignment and system performance.
Integrate platforms and services such as CMDB and billing/reporting systems.
Present architecture and technical solutions clearly to stakeholders.
Address technical debt by modernizing legacy infrastructure and applications.
Skills and Experience
Security Clearance: NV1 (Minimum) required.
Bachelor’s degree in Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Demonstrated experience designing cloud native solutions within complex environments.
Proven leadership in guiding technical teams in solution delivery.
Experience re-architecting systems to resolve technical debt.
Strong record of ICT project delivery within the government sector.
Deep understanding of service integration architecture and performance monitoring.
Effective communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholder groups.

About the Role
